Little Ladybug Shoppe Project Update

As you read, I am currently at home - in my sweatpants, with a steaming hot cup of coffee, without Micah (thanks to my wonderful mother-in-law!) - putting the final touches on the girls' headbands to donate to Edmarc Hospice for Children.  I am sooo close to finishing them.  And I wanted to give you an idea of where I am on this project.

The headbands and coordinating clip-on flowers and bows are almost finished.  Enough funds were donated to pay for about half of these gifts, for which I am very grateful.

For the next month I will be focused on making the superhero capes for the little boys.  I know this will take a lot more time and a lot more money.  The picnic for Edmarc is tentatively scheduled for June 2nd, so my aim is to have everything finished and packaged up nicely before then.

If you think of me, please pray that everything will be finished on time.  I really want to be a blessing to these kids.

Also, please pray that enough funds will come in to pay for all the supplies.  I estimated between $400-$500 would be needed for this project.  About one quarter of the total needed has been donated (thank you so much!) but of course, more money is necessary to finish everything.

I am trusting that the Lord will provide - He gave me this idea and knows that finances play a vital role.  And, in the end, if no extra funds come in, then these gifts will be my love offering to these kids and the God who cares for them.  I suppose that's just as well!

Thank you for checking in on the Little Ladybug Shoppe.  I can't wait to show more pictures of the finished products!

Also, tune in tomorrow for the tutorial on how to make your own headbands and accessories!

  1. I literally have goosebumps that won't go away after reading this post!

Sarah, God has our back. These dreams and ideas he gives us are so precious and valuable. I'm so encouraged to see you carry out this idea and not shrug it off as silly or simple, or believe the lies that come with stepping out in faith.

If it's God's will, it's God's bill. To say this will make a massive impact on the lives of so many is an UNDERSTATEMENT! Your faithfulness is life giving. Thank you for being so vulnerable and open to this community. You are a literal Godsend.
