to my anonymous gifters

The Sunday following Evie's death I received an envelope on my doorstep.  It contained a gift card to a local spa and a note which read:

Day 1: Take some time to pamper yourself.

Day 1.  This went on for over five weeks.  Every day for a little over five weeks I received anonymous gifts on my doorstep or in my mailbox.  Gift cards, beauty products, books, handmade items, baked goods, gifts for my boys, and so much more.
Just a few of my gifts of love.

I was racking my brain trying to think of a way to find out who these anonymous gifters were.  I asked Josh how on earth I would find the identity of these people and thank them appropriately.  His matter-of-fact answer took me by surprise.

"Babe, I think these people are anonymous because they don't want a thank you.  They just want to do nice things for you for the sake of being nice."

And so I won't search you out and scour the earth for clues on your identity (although I think I have a pretty good idea of who some of you are)  I simply want to say thank you.  To know I was being thought of every day was such a blessing, truly.  And maybe one day I'll be able to repay you for your kindness.

Thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart.  You are all wonderful.

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you.  Philippians 1:3
