pretty in pink

Well I just wanted to share with you the pretty pink outfits I have for Evie.  I hope you like them.

This one she'll wear to meet all her family.  You can't see it too well, but there are small eyelet patterns in the shirt and pants.

Headband I made to go with the outfit.  It's really soft and stretchy made from baby panty hose.

Evie's "just in case" outfit (just in case she is with us longer than expected). Hey, a mama can dream, can't she!
The best part of that outfit ... strawberry bottom :)

Evie's burial outfit.  She'll look like such an angel

Headband I made out of panty hose like the first one.  I bought the crochet flowers at Michael's and added the pink glass beads.  I love how girly and dainty it is.
Pretty little girl shoes.  There is also a cute pair of white panty hose ... I forgot to take a picture, but she'll wear those too.

Girly things hanging in the closet.  It might be the only time in history where there are pink pretties in my children's clothing closet, so I wanted to document it.
Thanks for oooing and ahhhing for me.  It was fun indulging in girl world for a little while.  I can't wait to dress my little sweetie.

  1. I've found your blog through a friend of a friend, and even though we don't know each other, I just want you to know that I am praying for you and your sweet family. Those little girl clothes are darling. Evie is so lucky to have you as her mama.

  2. Sarah, I love how you added touches of your own to Evie's outfits. I am intrigued by the headbands. Perhaps you can post how those are made. Sorry if I missed that from your sewing posts. You are blessing all of us with your dependence on God's grace that He will give. May you enjoy more than expected special blessings with your girl.

Thank you for sharing so openly and allowing us to 'participate' with you. Prayers are yours daily- I'm so glad that you are able to celebrate shopping in the pink section!

  5. These are beautiful Sarah. I'm just sitting here in tears. Arsema has the same strawberry sleeper. I thought it was the cutest thing in the world. I'll never put it on her again without thinking of Evie and praying for her and you. I love you!

  7. So many emotions as I ready this. Trepidation mixed with inspiration, joy, pain, love, respect, but most of all, I feel like I see that face of God in you and your Evie and everything you share. Your words are so moving to me, far beyong what I could ever articulate to you. How I wish I could.

  8. Your courageous open heart, once again leaves me in awe of Gods power to connect us with each other through the one thing we all would rather avoid; pain. Praying and sending love to you and your sweet beautiful family, today and every day I think of you.
