Evie's Story

Evie Caris is my precious baby girl born on Thursday November 8, 2012 at 11:07 pm.  She was with us for four wonderful hours before going home to Jesus just a little before 3:00 am on Friday November 9th.

Evie's body was very broken.  She was born without a bladder, nonfunctioning kidneys, and critical aortic stenosis.  But we know the Lord wanted our sweet baby girl to be born this way; He designed it from the very beginning.

For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.

Psalm 139:13-16

Evie has been such a blessing to me from the very start.  Nothing will ever make me forget my darling little girl and the impact she has had on my life and countless others.

Mommy loves you, sweet baby.  I will see you again soon <3

  1. Sarah....I'm so thankful for your faith...your testimony. Please know that I am thinking of you and praying as November draws near. I've loved hearing how God is already bringing so much beauty through your sweet girl and I eagerly wait to see how He will continue to bring you joy even in the midst of great pain.
