family fridays

I had this idea to post weekly updates on the happenings in my little family, mostly as a record for me.  This is the first of hopefully many "family fridays" posts.  Here is what happened this past week:

Josh: had his first clinical as an SRNA (student of registered nurse anesthesia), which meant that he was in the OR (operating room) and was able to actually do the "hands-on" part of his education.  He intubated a few patients and came home with a huge smile on his face.  I have no doubt in my mind this is exactly where he is supposed to be.

Josh, enjoying his 5 minute lunch break in between procedures.

Sarah: just holding down the fort!  I'm at week 13 of pregnancy #2 and thank the Lord, my morning sickness and crazy tiredness are coming to an end.

Micah: my oh my this kid is a bundle of laughs and smiles.  his phrase of the week: "ew, yuck!" which he says when looking at bugs, touching sticky things, etc.

Hi!

The other morning I asked him what he wanted for breakfast, to which he replied, "nanee."  I told him candy was not an appropriate choice for breakfast ... nice try though, munchkin.

Baby #2: we heard baby's heartbeat on wednesday at our 12 week appointment.  The midwife had a little difficulty finding the heartbeat because, as she explained, it's like trying to find a needle in a haystack.  The baby kept moving around too, making it even more difficult.  But all is well.  There is nothing more comforting than hearing that rhythmic sound.

12.5 weeks along with Baby #2

Happy Friday everyone!
